Reflections

I don't know how to describe the experiences we have had on this trip.  Honestly some really extraordinary things have happened. When we left and started driving out I think we were all unaware of what we were getting ourselves into.  The van ride up was definitely where everyone got aquainted it was fun once we got going.  As Nicole mentioned we had to keep ourselves entertained.  The ride was excruciating but it helped us to get more comfortable together.

Some of the activities we did were eye opening either Sunday or Monday night we practiced listening to God by laying a hand on the shoulder of another person and listening to anything God had to say to us.  The activity had some surprising results and I think that most of us truly began to believe that we could hear (individually) from God.  When went out to do numerous activities (yard work, laundry ministry, prayer walking, and others) our youth group split into two groups to 'divide and conquer'.

Overall I feel like we've accomplished a lot this week.  We grew together and individually but as we have been told: Utah will probably follow you home.  Personally my favorite thing we did was writing out scripture and handing it out along with loaves of french bread to the local people.  John 6:35 was prominent among the verses attached on the bread.  We also listened to a tv program directed at informing people (especially LDS and Christians) about the Mormon contradictions and doctrinal falsehoods of the proclaimed 'Christian religion'. If you get a chance I would recommend checking out the Heart of the Matter.

We met some interesting people and are getting ready to leave so if you would like to hear more about this trip feel free to ask later 🙂
God Bless You All and We Love You
